With a visit to Washington, D.C. as the ultimate goal, we traveled another long day today. Since the boating season is not yet in "full swing", we barely saw any other vessels during our hours of travel. Along the way, we did see one unusual and interesting aid to navigation.

We arrived at Colonial Beach Marina late in the afternoon. Once again we found no one to assist with lines as the marina did not open for regular, seasonal hours until tomorrow. After easily tying ourselves to the floating dock, we took a walk up the street to see what we could find.

After walking the long driveway of the marina, we came to a beach area and then a children's playground.

As dinner time approached, I left the others at the playground to return to the boat to start cooking. Eventually, Sierra wondered where her Nana had gone, and the rest came back to the marina.

After returning to the boat, Sierra decided she wanted to wear Papa Clark's hat for dress up.

Then, nature gave a beautiful show for the evening.
