I took a picture looking back at our anchorage for last night. We were anchored out among the marshes. To quote the ICW Mile-by-Mile Guide, these are "South Carolina's beautiful and austere tidal marshes ... fast-moving and deep." Truer words were never written.

With uninviting conditions predicted for ocean travel today, we made our way north along the ICW with our target destination for tonight being an anchorage in the Waccamaw River.
For a while we had the current with us, and a couple of dolphins decided to play in our wake for fun.

We opted to detour from the ICW at the Enterprise Oxbow, just before the beginning of the canal, to anchor for the night.
