One of our several reasons for stopping at Fort Pierce last night was to be able to attend the Farmer's Market today. The market opened at 8:00 a.m., and I walked up to go shopping as soon as I had eaten my breakfast.

Live bands play while the market is open. Older woman in blue (80 or 90 years old) walk/danced back and forth repeatedly. |

I entertained myself at the Farmer's Market for two hours. While I purposefully stayed away from the boat, Clark worked with a technical consultant on the stiffness of our steering wheel on the upper helm. Clark said it was "like drinking from a fire hose" to try to absorb all the information the man conveyed during the time he worked with Clark to investigate the issue. As soon as Clark completed his analysis with the contractor, we prepared to leave for our next destination.

As we traveled towards our chosen anchorage for the night, Clark started second guessing his decision to stay at Howard Creek instead of pushing to go further. Finally, thankfully, he decided to stick with the original plan allowing us to anchor mid-afternoon and enjoy a relaxing and peaceful afternoon.
To get to the anchorage, we needed to have the Old Roosevelt Bridge opened. The railroad bridge (shown in the rear) below was already open.

The sky was magnificent tonight.
