Arrive: Melbourne, FL, Eau Gallie North Anchorage, 5:15

With a storm predicted to arrive in the area tomorrow afternoon, we started early and went longer today than usual. We could see clouds and rain in the distance and kept checking the phone app "Rainy Days" to see if we would get hit with rain. It looked like it had passed and then it started raining. We quickly closed the panels on the full enclosure and even faster got way too hot from the steamy weather conditions. Fortunately the rain did not last long and we could open everything up again.
Over nine hours traveling today felt quite tedious at times. We had a very long stretch of "slow speed minimum wake" stretch that felt like it took forever to get through.

With the time change, it gets darker earlier, so we had to find and be settled into an anchorage before 5:30. We wanted to anchor at Serenity Island where we had anchored once before, but we could not make it before sunset. The ICW Mile-by-mile guide we acquired at the Hampton Rendezvous recommended an anchorage in the Melbourne area.
When we got there, we found it to be fine except other boats were already anchored there and the open areas contained minefields of fish traps. We managed to scope out a spot and get settled before dark.
