We passed through Louisiana to get to Texas.

We had no time to stop in Louisiana on the way to Texas, but we made it a point to stop on our way back to the boat in Mobile, Alabama. Unfortunately we had to make it a quick stop in New Orleans since the drive time from Texas to Alabama was an all-day event. All the same, there was no way we could just drive through Louisiana without seeing what the Big Easy is all about. I am so glad we took the time to peak at this marvelous city.

Our visit to New Orleans, although over in the blink of an eye, was a great experience. I have never experienced a city like New Orleans with street performers on almost every street corner, a parade for no apparent reason, and restaurants with balcony dining. What fun!
Lovely! :)
