2024 December: Christmas Lights at San Pablo Catholic Church

 22 December 2024

Clark and I went out to dinner at Sparky's Restaurant in Key Colony Beach with our friends Kevin and Vickie. Afterwards we strolled through the magnificent light show in the gardens of San Pablo Church. Since they had a car, we did not have to bike several miles each way in the dark this year to enjoy the light show.

At art class at the library, I heard that the fellow who did the lights last year was let go, and someone known to do an excellent job in the past was hired back. Last year, we were disappointed with the display as some of the lights were not lit. This year we were wowed!

The pictures mostly speak for themselves.

Even the parking lot had lots of lights.

The palm trees were decorated all the way to the top using equipment to get the decorator up there to string the lights.

After admiring the parking lot, we walked through the San Pablo Gardens where we saw hundreds? thousands? of lights!

Blue lights like those shown below are strung throughout the gardens as amazing backdrops.

Arriving back at the fountain, we are all done with the garden walk.

Clark was slower walking through the gardens than the rest of us as he was the one taking all the pictures. Kevin said the church was open, so we stepped inside for a peek.

No Baby Jesus in the Manger yet.
He will appear on the 25th.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
